“A Business Mindset”
On Saturday, I shared my plan to put Connecticut back to work with residents of Manchester, Glastonbury and Uncasville.
During the meeting, one thing became clear: Washington needs some common sense business solutions to fix our economy. Griswold Selectman Theresa Madonna told the Norwich Bulletin why she is supporting my campaign:
Griswold Selectman Theresa Madonna has been McMahon’s most outspoken supporter in Eastern Connecticut. Madonna introduced McMahon, who is leading the pack of four GOP hopefuls, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released last month. “A business mindset and framework has been missing from government for a long time,” [Theresa] Madonna said. “Linda would restore that.”
McMahon would do even more for New London and Windham counties than Simmons would, she said.
“We need a lot of attention in this part of the state,’ Madonna said. ‘Eastern Connecticut would be best served by having Linda in the Senate.’”
Government needs to get out of the way of private sector job creators. Our small businesses are responsible for creating 70 percent of jobs in America. To allow them to continue creating jobs, Congress must cut taxes, cut spending and repeal burdensome regulations and mandates that prevent businesses from expanding.
These common sense solutions are the basis of my plan to preserve the American Dream for future generations. Click here to read my plan to put Connecticut back to work.
As I continue to travel around Connecticut, I am excited by the growing grassroots momentum behind this campaign. I am thankful to the Manchester Young Republicans for their endorsement of my candidacy this weekend. It is further proof that people of all ages in Connecticut are concerned about the state of our economy and that they are tired of Washington standing in the way of our small businesses.
It’s time for a Senator who knows how to create jobs.
