Road To The Convention
Since the latest poll results came out from Quinnipiac University, people have been asking me: “How did you become the front-runner in this race?” The simple answer is: meeting with voters, listening to their concerns and proposing common sense solutions.
The Republican Convention is less than 60 days away and it’s crunch time. Each and every day, I am traveling our state and listening to voters. Since announcing my candidacy in September, I have attended more than 380 events across Connecticut. This past Saturday, I visited Branford, Wallingford and Hamden.
Everywhere I go in our state, I am hearing the same things. People are tired of the politics as usual in Washington. They are tired of not having their voices heard.
But Connecticut is also excited. People are ready to send someone new to Washington – someone who is not beholden to special interests. Someone who will bring common sense reform. Someone who will work tirelessly for the people of our state. Someone who will be a different kind of Senator.
