There Are So Many Reasons To Give Thanks This Holiday

And for hundreds of families in Bridgeport it’s the kindness of their neighborhood food pantry that has brought the true meaning of Thanksgiving to their dinner table.
More than three hundred brown paper grocery bags filled with turkey, potatoes, pies and vegetables were handed out for free at the ‘Feed the People Food Pantry’ this week.
I had the pleasure of supporting this cause and met some of the families who received these gifts. Folks tell me they are working hard every day to pay their bills and there is little left over. This Thanksgiving they’re grateful for the help these volunteers provided them.
The pantry is an outreach program run by the Claytor Ministry. Their generosity and dedication will allow families in the state’s largest city to enjoy a warm turkey meal. A great example of how neighbors are helping neighbors right here in Connecticut.
