Thanks To You – We’re Making Tremendous Progress

Oct 23, 2009

I want to personally thank you for your support of Linda. We have an enormous amount of work that still needs to be done over the next year, but we are making tremendous progress, thanks to you.

On Sunday, the highly respected Kevin Rennie of the Hartford Courant, wrote in a must-read column titled Why McMahon Will Go The Distance, that Linda is combining a heavy television air war with a busy schedule of appearances at dreary events around the state, testing and refining her skills as a candidate for high office with a steely charm. Republican activists are paying attention and are impressed.

A few days later, NBC News Political Director Chuck Todd observed that Linda is part of a new generation of women politicians representing the biggest chance the Republican Party has had to have its own version of the Year of the Woman. He added, Shes becoming a one-womancampaign against Dodd.

Because of your active support, conventional wisdom is forming, and Lindas candidacy is being viewed as the best chance Republicans have of beating Chris Dodd next November.

As the Hartford Courant’s Rick Green noted this week, McMahon is showing everyone that she has the ability to stand up to the best that Sen. Dodd can offer. Pretty impressive.

Connecticut needs leadership in Washington that understands how to create jobs. This week, The State Labor Department reported another 6,600 jobs were lost in Connecticut; the states unemployment rate is now at a 33-year high. Yet Washington continues to dump trillions of taxpayer dollars into black holes of government bureaucracy instead of to the small businesses that create 70% of jobs.

The challenges we face are too important and too urgent to be left up to career politicians who routinely violate the public trust.

Please continue to spread the word about Lindas campaign to give Connecticut families a real voice. You can do that by forwarding this email to five of your friends and urging them to Join Linda today!
